reed house

Designed in 1961, the Aspendale beach house nestles low in the sand dunes and looks out across Port Phillip Bay. Its open layout enables the modern, casual lifestyle of the era. The open-plan living pavilion is separated from the bedroom pavilion by a sandy courtyard planted with natives. From the wind-protected courtyard, views of Port Phillip Bay can be glimpsed through the glazed living and dining space, out beyond the timber deck and marrum grass.
